Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), we uphold rigorous quality and safety standards, ensuring our operations consistently meet or exceed the highest benchmarks in healthcare transportation.

With a proven track record of providing exceptional service in Orange County and Los Angeles County for nearly two decades, Premier Ambulance brings a wealth of experience and expertise to San Diego. Our reputation for compassionate care and commitment to excellence precedes our arrival, addressing the region’s healthcare systems transportation needs with precision and professionalism. From Basic Life Support (BLS) to Critical Care Transport (CCT), we pledge reliable and consistent response times, ensuring seamless patient care throughout the community.

Introducing Our New Highly Experienced Leadership Team in San Diego County:

Regional DirectorClaudia Rempel

For nearly two decades, Claudia has served in the EMS industry, focusing on operational efficiency, community engagement, and wellness education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Riverside, and is a certified Emergency Medical Technician. Claudia is also an alumna of MANA de San Diego’s Latina Success Leadership Program, Cal State University San Marcos’ Leadership North County, and is currently a fellow of The Chicano Federation Leadership Training Institute.

As a champion for leadership and advocacy, Claudia serves as the Board President of the Ambulance Association of San Diego County (AASDC) and Board President for MANA de San Diego. In 2023, she was honored as one of San Diego Business Journal’s Non-Profit Leaders of Influence Top 50 Honorees and Latino Leaders of Influence Honorees. Additionally, she was recognized as Women Magazine’s Rising Star in Non-Profit and a Finalist for Rising Star of The Year. Claudia was also awarded San Diego Regional East County Chamber of Commerce’s First Responder of the Month and received the District 1 Equity SHEro Award in Health Sector from the Office of San Diego County Board of Supervisor Chair Nora Vargas, along with the Healthcare Services Award from the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater San Diego.

Claudia is known as a change agent, leading by example and possessing inherently ethical leadership attributes. She is passionate about strengthening employee engagement and fostering community partnerships. Her expertise and task-oriented strengths drive dedication, motivation, and a cohesive environment. Claudia consistently challenges complacency and aims to improve systems by cultivating creativity and encouraging innovation.

Vice President of Business DevelopmentPaul Cloward

With over 30 years of healthcare knowledge, Paul Cloward specializes in growth and retention of key partnerships. His extensive experience in both corporate and private medical transportation companies adds invaluable insight to our business development strategies. Paul holds a Masters in Business Administration from San Diego State University and has spent 10 years in the field as an EMT, along with another 10 years in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. He is deeply committed to understanding the needs and priorities of health and hospital systems, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships.

Critical Care Transport ManagerKelly Forman

Kelly is a longtime San Diego resident and emergency nurse. Her nursing career began in 1981 at Bay General Hospital in Chula Vista as an LVN, and in 1985 obtained her RN licensure from Southwestern College. Kelly also gained trauma experience working at Mercy Hospital. In 1989, Kelly was an active clinician with the San Bernardino Sheriffs’ Air Rescue Unit developing and nurturing a strong background with expansive knowledge in EMS and technical helo rescue skills. It was that same year she joined Life Flight of San Diego, to begin a lifelong career in air ambulance service.

Kelly is in her 29th years of service with Mercy Air, and maintains the longest servicing flight clinician title within her well established Air Methods organization. Kelly is excited to rejoin her longtime friends and colleagues from previous ground transport operations as she lead CCT RN Operations for Premier Ambulance.
